1. 原料是一種力學性能十分穩定的中密度聚乙烯，由辛烯與乙烯共聚而成；
2. 良好的穩定性和長期的耐壓性能：管材勻質性好，性能穩定，具有良好的抗熱蠕變性能，優良的長期耐靜液壓能力；
3. 管道易於彎曲，方便施工：彎曲半徑小（R最小=5D），彎曲部分的應力可以很快得到鬆弛，可避免在使用過程中由於應力集中而引起管道在彎曲處出現破壞。PE-RT管可熱熔連接，因而管道在應用過程中如果損壞維修起來方便；
4. 抗衝擊性能好，安全性高，低溫脆裂溫度可達70度，可在低溫環境下運輸、施工；
5. 耐老化、壽命長：由於PE-RT材料的優良特性，在工作溫度為70℃，壓力為0.8MPa條件下，PE-RT管可安全使用50年以上；
6. 加工工藝方便，質量易於控製；
7. 廢管可熔化，可回收。
